Power crisis blocks industrialisation in MP: Kamal Nath

Chhindwara, MP, June 2 (UNI) Union Industry Minister Kamal Nath today held Madhya Pradesh's power crisis responsible for non-establishment of factories in his parliamentary constituency.

''After visiting this district, industrialists speak of electricity problems. The schemes initiated during the Congress rule, in this state, are dormant and the BJP regime's schemes exist only on paper,'' he alleged at a public meeting after unveiling former Prime Minister Rajiv Gandhi's statue at Pandurna tahsil headquarters.

The Minister earlier told mediapersons that this district was selected for establishment of an SEZ, which would come up on the district border between Chhindwara and Nagpur.

''Discussions took place yesterday between Japanese officials, NTPC, Madhya Pradesh State Electricity Board officials and myself on the Pench Diversion Scheme's financial aspects,'' he explained.
