One killed, another injured in road mishap

Jalandhar, Jun 2 (UNI) One person was crushed to death while another was injured after being hit by a bus at Workshop Chowk here today.

Police said the person who died on the spot, was yet to be identified, while the injured person was identified as Om Prakash, who was immidiately rushed to the civil hospital. Both of them were hit by the bus when they were standing on the foothpath to cross the road, police added.

Police has registered a case under sections 304A, 279, 337, 338 and 427 of the IPC against the bus driver, who fled from the scene after the accident.
