Obed stakes claim to take the rein of DAN Govt.
Kohima, June 2 (UNI) In a high voltage political drama, dissident Nagaland Peoples Front (NPF) Legislator Z Obed today met Nagaland Governor K Shankaranarayanan and staked claim to take the reins of Democratic Alliance of Nagaland (DAN), as the present leader and Chief Minister Neiphiu Rio's group was reduced to minority in DAN coalition.
Mr Obed, along with former Finance Minister and suspended NPF legislator Kewekhape Therie met the Governor, and explained him about their position and support of the 22 DAN legislators, which they willingly signed. They requested the Governor to invite Mr Obed to form a new Ministry of the DAN replacing Mr Rio.
In an another political development today, NPF legislator and Parliamentary Secretary, Geology and Mining, Printing and Stationeries and Relief and Rehabilitation Yeangpong Konyak and Advisor of the Nagaland Bamboo Mission Khutovi Sema submitted their resignations to the Chief Minister.

unity
and
coordination.''
