Mr Shri Prakash is new GM of Northern Railway

New Delhi, Jun 2 (UNI) Mr Shri Prakash has taken over as General Manager, Northern Railway, an official statement said today.

An officer of the 1972 batch of Indian Railway Traffic Service, Mr Shri Prakash, who was until recently Advisor (Infrastructure), Railway Board, took charge from Mr Vinoo N. Mathur.

He has been involved in policy initiatives like the Dedicated Freight Corridors and Public Private Partnership projects to enhance the infrastructure development of Indian Railways.

Some of the notable posts held by him are Divisional Railway Manager, Dhanbad, Executive Director (Statistics&Economics), Chief Safety Officer, Chief Transport Planning Manager and Chief Administrative Officer (Freight Operation Information System) in various spells at Northern Railway.

He is also visiting Senior Fellow, The Energy Research Institute (TERI), New Delhi.
