Girls fare well in B A results

Kottayam, June 2 (UNI) Girls bagged 37 of the 45 ranks in the B A Degree Examinations of the M G University held in March this year, the results of which were announced here today.

Out of the 7,771 candidates who had appeared for the examinations 5,829 passed. The pass percentage was 75.

As many as 1,237 students got first class, 1,712 second class and 2,504 third class.

Out of the 1,950 private candidates, 1,018 passed. The pass percentage was 52.

Colleges in Ernakulam district bagged 30 ranks. Kottayam 13 and Pathanamthitta two.

Maharaja's College, Ernakulam has 11 rank holders.
