Jammu: CBI unearth scam in FCI's warehouse
Jammu, June 2: The CBI has unearthed a scam worth lakhs of rupees in Food Corporation of India's warehouse, arresting an FCI officer at Chatha here, official sources said.
The CBI have arrested an assistant grade officer, Madan Gopal while more arrests may take place as search of depot and warehouse started for the second consecutive day this morning, sources added.
Sources said some high-ranking offers may be involved in the scam.
After a specific information that drivers of about 250-300 trucks, which daily reach the depot were being forced to pay rs 200 per truck, the CBI raided the premises yesterday, sources said.
