Bus-truck collision kills 4, hurts 40 in UP

Barabanki, June 2 (UNI) At least four people were killed and 40 others sustained severe injuries when an overcrowded bus they were travelling in, collided head on with a truck here today.

According to the police, the bus, en route from Lucknow to Balrampur, rammed into a speeding bus at the Lucknow-Barabanki border in Mohammadpur area, killing four persons on the spot.

The deceased were identified as Imran Ahmed, Radhelal, Idrees and Sayeed.

The injured were rushed to the district hospital, where two grievously wounded were referred to Lucknow.

The bus was overloaded with passengers, who were on way to a nuptial ceremony in Balrampur.
