Bhang cultivation in 20 villages destroyed in south Kashmir

Srinagar Jun (UNI) In its continued drive against the menace of drugs police destroyed bhang cultivation on hundreds hectares of land in twenty villages of South Kashmir.

Senior Superintendent of Police (SSP), Anantnag, said police with the help of local priests, numberdars and village elders has launched a massive drive against the cultivation of bhang and opium in south Kashmir.

He said cultivation of bhang and opium on hundreds hectares of land was destroyed on the spot by police in 20 villages during the past two days.

The drive against the drugs will continue, he said.
