Asia MotorWorks launches 2518 (6x4) Tipper

New Delhi, June 2: Asia MotorWorks Ltd (AMW) today announced its entry in the northern India market with the launch of its 2518 (6x4) Tipper here.

The company plans to capture 90 per cent market share from the current 70 per cent in the niche segment of 49 tonnage vehicles.

It also unveiled its first dealership for Delhi and North Capital Region (NCR) by partnering with CT Motors.

It showcased its 'Global Truck' series comprising 4923 Tractor, 4018 Tractor, 4923 Tip Semi-Trailer, 2523 Rock and Box Body Tipper, 2518 Haulage and 2518 Concrete Mixer.

AMW Global Truck series meets Euro II emission norms and has world-class aggregates from global leaders like Cummins, Valeo, Meritor, Dana Spicer and ZF.

The Global Truck series are perhaps the only ones in the market that can carry highest permissible load along with high fuel efficiency, a statement said.

The products are competitively priced in the range of Rs 15-28 lakh and offer GWC ranging from 25 tonnes to 49 tonnes vehicles.

''With rapid industrialisation, sustained GDP growth of 8.5 per cent and the government's focus on building the new highway projects like the Golden Quadrilateral project and the NSEW corridors, we see the freight industry poised for a major leap,'' said AMW Managing Director and Chief Executive Officer Anirudh Bhuwalka.

With northern India contributing to nearly 30 per cent to the tractor market, it's an extremely important market for us. Through Delhi and NCR, we want to strengthen our presence in the northern India market, which has various industries like automobiles, auto components, engineering, steel, construction, textiles, etc, he added.

The company aims to sell around 1,000 vehicles in northern India out of the 5,000 HCVs targetted for this fiscal.

''We already have 22 main dealers with 26 branches throughout the country. We are also in the process of rolling out a vast and dependable, nationwide sales service and spares network, comprising 30 Main Dealers and 450 sub dealers. These centres will cover most of the major highways like the Golden Quadrilateral, North-South Corridor and East-West Corridor,'' said company Sr Vice-President (Marketing) R C Mangal.
