688 cases settled by Haryana Lok Adalats
Chandigarh, Jun 2 (UNI) As many as 688 cases were settled in the Lok Adalats organised today at Jagadhari, Rewari, Gurgaon, Meham and Kosli and Rural Lok Adalat at village Sisai Kaliraman of Hisar district by Haryana State Legal Services Authority.
While giving this information here today, the Member Secretary of the Authority, Mr Arun Kumar Tyagi said that out of 688 cases, 77 cases were pertaining to death or injury arising out of vehicle accidents.
Mr Tyagi said an amount of over Rs 1.20 crore was awarded as compensation. Other 611 cases were pertaining to other categories like civil and petty criminal and bank loan cases at pre-litigative stage as well as other pending cases were also settled.
He informed that the next Lok Adalat would be held on June 7 at Labour Courts, Faridabad and on June 9 at Kaithal and Dabwali.
