Dharamshala, June 1 (UNI) Himachal Pradesh Congress Committee (HPCC) president Viplove Thakur today dared suspended Congress leader Vijai Singh Mankotia to prove state Chief Minister Virbhadra Singh's voice in the controversial CD released by him.

He could have filed an application with the Lokayukta against the Chief Minister to ascertain the truth about the voice in the CD, she told UNI here.

Ms Thakur said releasing of the CD by Mr Mankotia at the time of by-polls in Hamirpur parliamentary constituency was an anti party activity and the All India Congress Committee (AICC) would deliberate on it after the elections.

She observed that the former tourism minister should have raised the corruption issues within the party forum or approached the party high command instead of going public that too at a time when campaigning for the Hamirpur by-polls was on.

''Mr Singh is Chief Minister of the Himachal and Pratibha Singh Lok Sabha MP from Mandi constituency and making vile and false corruption charges against them amounted to anti-party activity,'' he said.

Rubbishing Mr Mankotia's allegations that the Chief Minister was misusing AICC president Sonia Gandhi's name for benefiting business houses, the HPCC president said it was impossible to believe that.

''If their were any such instructions from 10 Janpath it should have been in writing. Besides, we just cannot believe his every utterance.'' Daring the suspended leader to prove the Chief Minister's voice in CD, Ms Thakur said in this era voices could be made up to malign anyone.
