Venue, date of BJP National Executive changed

New Delhi, Jun 1 (UNI) The National Executive of the Bhartiya Janata Party will now be held in New Delhi, instead of Jaipur.

The National Executive was slated to be held in Jaipur on June 15,16 and 17, but instead will be held in the capital on June 15 and 16.

The three day event has been compressed into two.

BJP General Secretary Ravi Shankar Prasad told newspersons here that the venue has been changed in view of the tense situation in Rajasthan resulting from the agitation of the Gujjar community.

Mr Prasad said the Central leadership of the party was in constant touch with Rajasthan Chief Minister Vasundhra Raje and carefully making an assessment of the situation in the State.
