New Delhi, June 1 (UNI) Janata Party President Subramanian Swamy today alleged that Centre was responsible for the violent incidents in Rajasthan as it wanted to remove the Chief Minister of the state.

''Ms Vasundhara Raje was not liked by the Congress and the Centre because she was performing well in Rajasthan and she had received UN award for the implementation of ''Millennium Goals'' of development in the state,'' Dr Swamy said.

In a statement here he said a section of Gujjar community had launched a violent and disruptive agitation seeking their community's inclusion into Secheduled Tribes category for reservation in employment and educational institutes.

The agitating Gujjar community should instead of targetting the Chief Minister at the behest of Congress ask their MPs and the government to issue an order declaring them STs, Dr Swamy added.
