Sultry weather in the city, possibility of storm
Kolkata, Jun 1 (UNI) Hot and sultry weather conditions in West Bengal kept people indoors today as mercury level further soared.
The maximum temperature of the day was at 37.8 degrees Celcius while the minimum was at 29.8 degrees Celsius, a Met official said.
The maximum relative humidity was at 88 per cent while the minimum was at 53 per cent.
Met office forecast thundery development in the state with possibility of squall and hail. The wind speed is likely to be around 50-60 km per hour and might hit the districts of east and west Midnapore and Howrah between 1700 to 2000 hours.
