RBI signs MoU with Haryana Government

Mumbai, June 1 (UNI) The Reserve bank today signed an Memorandum of Understanding (MoU) with government of Haryana according to which a State level Task Force on Urban Co-operative Banks (TAFCUB) has been constituted.

The task force has been constituted to put in place strategies to upgrade the human resource skills and technological infrastructure of Urban co-operative banks and thus to improve the operational efficiency.

Reserve bank would assess the training and computerization needs of the Urban Co-operative Banks in the State of Haryana, said a RBI release.

Reserve bank regional director for Haryana D.P.S.Rathore will chair the taskforce.

The central bank has also signed similar MoUs with nine states-- Gujarat, Andhra Pradesh, Karnataka, Madhya Pradesh, Rajasthan, Uttaranchal, Chattisgarh, Goa and Maharashtra.
