Man arrested for black-marketing oil

Mahoba, June 1 (UNI) A man was today arrested for black-marketing 300 litres of kerosene in the district.

Kallu was arrested possessing the oil aboard a roadways bus in Kulpahar town. A case had been registered under Essential Commodities Act, police said.

Sub-Divisional Magistrate (SDM) Dayanand Saraswati said an anonymous caller apprised him of the kerosene black-maketing.

He said Kallu had confessed that he collected the oil illegally from public distribution system (PDS) card holders.

He was sent to jail.
