Himachal CM mourns demise on former IE editor
Shimla, June 1 (UNI) Himachal Pradesh Chief Minister Virbhadra Singh today mourned the death of former editor of Indian Express, Prem Kumar, who passed away at Chandigarh early yesterday.
Kumar was a seasoned journalist who had dedicated his life to the cause of ethical journalism, Mr Singh said in his condolence message to the bereaved family.
Mr Singh said he was an upright editor whose writings were known for precision, objectivity and analysis of complicated political developments.
Responsible reporting during odd situations was his speciality, he added.
Several senior state administrative officials, including Information and Public Relations Principal Secretary T G Negi, have also offered their condolences to the bereaved family.
