HDMC orders inquiry against a hospital nurse

Hubli, June 1 (UNI) Hubli-Dharwad City Municipal Corporation (HDMC) Commissioner Manivannan has ordered a departmental inquiry into the allegations against a nurse, attached to HDMC hospital.

Shantamma, the nurse who was on the verge of retirement, had allegedly prepared a bogus order in the name of commissioner that 600 vacancies were to be filled in the HDMC and collected money from the aspirants to the tune of lakhs of rupees.

The commissioner has also ordered to stay all retired benefits except pension of the nurse.
