DTTDC presentation of Yamuna Revitalisation Project to Hooda
New Delhi, June 1 (UNI) The Delhi Tourism and Transportation Development Corporation (DTTDC) made a presentation of Yamuna Revitalization Project to Haryana Chief Minister Bhupinder Singh Hooda here today.
Dr Sanat Kaul, CMD of DTTDC, apprised Mr Hooda about the Yamuna Revitalization Project and said this project would help in addressing the problem of water shortage in Delhi, Haryana and Uttar Pradesh.
This project would also enhance the tourism potential for Delhi and Haryana, he added.
Dr Kaul said under the project, mega reservoirs would be built on the Yamuna and the Hindon rivers and by using the rainwater during monsoon, water storage would be increased.
The Haryana Chief Minister appreciated the Project and asked Dr Kaul to examine the feasibility of the project for its implementation in Haryana.
Haryana's Irrigation Minister Captain Ajay Singh Yadav and senior officers of the State's Irrigation Department also attended the meeting.
