New Delhi, Jun 1 (UNI) Lok Janshakti Party President and union Minister Ram Vilas Paswan today demanded a judicial inquiry into the violence in Rajasthan and said that Vasundhara Raje government should either resign or be dismissed by the centre for mishandling of the situation.

Addressing a high level meeting of the Party here to review the situation in Rajsthan where dozens of agitators from Gujjar community have been killed in police firing, Mr Paswan said that compensation of Rs 25 lakh should be given to the family of those killed in police firing and one member of their family be provided government job. Moreover, those injured be given Rs 2 lakh each and free medical treatment.

Blaming the Rajasthan government for the blazing problem, the LJP felt that the problem was created by the BJP regime itself as during the election campaign in 2003, the Chief Minister had assured that the BJP would provide Scheduled Tribe status to the Gujjar community but not taken any effective steps to fulfil her promise.

''Raje Government should immediately resign or otherwise be dismissed by the Central government because till this government is in power, the situation will remain unsolved and tense,'' it said.

Meanwhile, an LJP delegation led by Mukesh Gujjar has already visited Rajasthan on the orders of Mr Paswan and another led by MP and Dalit Sena President Ramchandar Paswan would also visit Rajasthan to take stock of the situation.
