Boisterous rock buffs welcomes Aerosmith to IT Capital
Bangalore, Jun 1 (UNI) Aerosmith, the 'bad boys from Boston' who will be performing in the city, their first concert in the land of 'elephants and cobra', were given a boisterous welcome from the rock music fans when they arrived here this evening.
The aging band, who have been enthralling the rock music fans world over for over three decades, looked sprightly, said they were most excited to be in India. The band lead singer Steven Tyler said he had never seen India but was always "in my mind".
"First thing we want so savour is the sweet taste of India. Then comes of course, the (Chicken) Vindaloo," he told the waiting reporters at the airport.
Over 25,000 fans are expected to throng the Palace Grounds here tomorrow night to enjoy the high-octane show from the most revered contemporary rock bands in the world.
On the morrow the 33 year-old band would be enthralling the audience with some of their best compositions, including -- living on the edge, walk this way, ...looks like a lady and sweet emotions.
The band came in two different aircraft. While the band members and their family -- in all 28 of them, came in their private jet, the other members of the contingent came in another from Dubai where they performed yesterday.
