4 of Rural Development Department suspended

Lucknow, June 1 (UNI) The Uttar Pradesh government tonight suspended four officials of the Rural Development Department for laxity while at duty.

''The decision was taken at a review meeting headed by the state Rural Development Minister,'' Rural Development Commissioner Rajan Shukla here said.

The Project Director, Jhansi and Development Officer, Chitrakoot were suspended for laxity in development works.

The Project Director, Unnao was suspended for not coordinating in the development works. Whereas, action against the Saharanpur District Development Officer was taken after he remained absent at the review meeting.
