14-year-old physically challenged girl secures 79 pc in SSC exam
Rajkot, June 1 (UNI) Fourteen-year-old Jaladhi Vachhrajani, a physically challanged girl who had appeared for Class X Secondary School Certificate (SSC) examination in March, has secured 79 per cent, overcoming the physical odds through her grit and determination.
The Board exam results were announced yesterday.
Jaladhi, who suffers from a bone disease 'osteogenesis imperfecta' since birth, cannot sit on a chair and is bed-ridden. A special room had been arranged for her at the examination venue.
During the exam, she dictated her answers to 'writer' while lying down on bed.
The two-feet tall girl, whose growth had been stunted due to the disease, could do so because of her sheer determination and self-confidence, her uncle Vibhakar Vachhrajani told UNI today.
Despite being disabled, Jaladhi faced every challange with smile and is very brilliant in her studies. She always scored over 80 per cent in the examinations, he added.
