Villagers demand action against 'pro-Sacha Sauda' school staff

Bathinda, May 31 (UNI) Residents of a village in the district have accused three staff members of a government school of 'promoting' Dera Sacha Sauda 'philosophy and culture' among the students and demanded action against them.

In a complaint to Chief Minister Parkash Singh Badal, the Education Minister and senior district officials, the residents of Nathana village have sought action against the three staff members of the Government Senior Secondary School.

The villagers have also demanded that the three staff members who are Dera supporters be shifted.

When contacted, the school principal confirmed receiving the complaint and said that an inquiry would be ordered.

One of the accused staff member denied the allegation but admitted that he was a Dera follower.

Meanwhile a report from Moga said that timely action by the police prevented a clash between Dera supporters and Sikhs in a village in the district.
