Sameera Reddy to be the face and voice of Mauj's VAS

Mumbai, May 31 (UNI) Sameera Reddy will be the face and voice of the new Value Added Service (VAS) launched by Mauj today.

An addition to the estimated Rs 3,000 crore domestic mobile market, the newly developed mobile VAS features actor Sameera Reddy's voice for a range of services from ringtones, alarms to SMS alerts.

The package will be available at Rs 50 from the Essar chain of ''The MobileStore'' and other telecom retailors.

Speaking on the occassion, Sameera said, ''I'm happy to be a part of a growing industry.'' ''We are working towards bringing more and more content and new products to our customers'', said Mauj CEO Manoj Dawane.

''Bollywood VAS services are extremely popular among the masses and this tie-up with Mauj will certainly drive in footfalls at the retail outlets,'' Essar Telecom Retail CEO and director Rajiv Agarwal said.

Mauj is the flagship of People Infocom, a Mumbai-based service provider, founded by Mr Anupam Mittal. It has ten regional offices in India, along with operations in the UK, UAE and the US. It owns the brands -- ''Mauj'' and ''7007'', and has developed hit websites like Shaadi.com.

The Essar Telecom Retail is part of the USD 10 billion (Rs 41,000 crore) Essar Group which employs 20,000 people in 50 locations world-wide. Essar Telecom Retail plans to set over 2,500 ''MobileStores'' over the next three years.
