PIL filed against lecturers of govt college
Aizawl, May 31 (UNI) People's Right to Information Implementation Society of Mizoram (PRISM) has filed a Public Interest Litigation(PIL) to the Aizawl bench of Gauhati High Court against four lecturers of a government college who allegedly did not qualify NET.
PRISM president Vanlalruata told UNI today that the four lecturers of Hrangbana Government College who were appointed in March 2003 without NET certificates are H Lalzuithangi (Political Science), Juliet Lalremmawii (Psychology), Sarah Lalmuankimi (Psychology) and Saihlupuii (Psychology).
He informed that the PIL was filed yesterday and the court would hold a hearing today.
Mizo Zirlai Pawl(MZP), a student body, demanded the government for cancellation of the appointment order. The joint secretary of Education&Human Resources later directed the Higher&Technical Education director to revoke the appointment order on April 10, 2003.
However, the Gauhati High Court stayed the cancellation order on grounds that it was violations of principle of natural justice.
