Govt hikes assistance to Rs 25,000 for Mansarovar yatris
New Delhi, May 31 (UNI) Delhi Lt Governor Tejinder Khanna today announced a hike in cash assistance to the Kailash Mansarovar pilgrims from Rs 10,000 to Rs 25,000.
He made the announcement while giving a warm send off to the first batch of 34 pilgrims who left for the annual yatra.
Also present on this occasion were Delhi Development Minister Raj Kumar Chauhan, Development Commissioner, Rakesh Behari, and Tirth Yatra Vikas Samiti chairman Shiv Kumar Sharma.
Apart from financial help, the Tirth Yatra Vikas Samiti of the Delhi Government makes boarding and lodging arrangements of the pilgrims from all over India at the national capital.
