Fast track court sentences man for illegal possesion of arms

Darbhanga, May 31 (UNI) A fast track court today awarded seven years imprisonment to a person for possesing explosive substances along with illegal firearms and ammunition.

The judge, Mr S C Srivastav, found Uchit Mahto, a resident of Athar village under Baheri police station area of Darbhanga district, guilty under the various sections of Arms and Explosives Act.

The judge also fined him Rs 10,000.

The convict was arrested along with gelatine wire, fuse of detonator, firearms and ammunition under Baheri police station area on April 9, 2004.
