Body of senior ULFA cadre found in upper Asom

Guwahati, May 31 (UNI) A decomposed body of a senior ULFA cadre was found in Dhemaji district in upper Asom today.

Official sources said the body of Ulum Bhuyan, 'sergeant major' was recovered from Jorkata Singimari under Machkhowa police station in the district this morning.

One M20 pistol and a few rounds of ammunition were recovered from his possession.

Three days ago, a civilian was killed in the same place when an encounter took place between ULFA militants and security forces.
