BJP demands CBI probe in NREGA and dismissal of Koda govt in J'khand

Ranchi, May 31 (UNI) The BJP today demanded a CBI inquiry into the National Rural Employment Gurantee Act (NREGA) and dismissal of the Koda government, alleging that corruption prevailed into implementation of the Act.

Party spokesperson Biranchi Narayan said ''About 80 per cent of the funds were being handled misappropriately.'' Referring to the recent statement of State Rural Development Minister Anos Ekka, where he had admitted that ''corruption was prevalent in the department,'' Mr Narayan said the statement was a proof of the sorry state of affairs in Jharkhand.

Mr Narayan further added that the plans of the UPA allies, including the Congress,to change the state leadership revealed the condition of the state.
