Sultry weather and humid conditions in Kolkata

Kolkata, May 29 (UNI) Kolkata and its adjoining areas today experienced one of the most uncomfortable days so far this summer as the temperature and humidity soaring upwards.

The maximum temperature recorded today was 37.8 degrees Celsius, three degrees above normal, while the minimum was 28.5 degrees Celsius, two degrees above normal, Met sources informed.

The high humidity of 92 per cent added to the woes of the Kolkatans, while there was no rainfall to relieve the people.

The Alipore Met office forecast a partly cloudy sky with thundery development in some areas.
