Seven Sena activists arrested for damaging PWD furniture

Kolhapur, May 29 (UNI) Seven Shiv Sena activists were arrested today for damaging furniture in the Public Works Department (PWD) office here.

One of the arrested accused Suresh Ganpati Powar, led by 12 others Sena activists stormed in the PWD office at Tarabai Park and damaged furniture, tore important papers to vent their ire against non-clearance of work bill, that had been pending with the department since long.

Powar's bill for supplying stationary and furniture to the PWD office was unpaid and hence he and others attacked the office.

Of the accused, seven have been arrested including former Shiv Sena district chief Vinayak Salokhe and former office bearer Dileep Patil-Kavnekar.
