Meeting on CET for PG courses on June 2

Bangalore, May 29 (UNI) Karnataka Higher Education Minister D H Shankaramurthy has convened a meeting of Legislative Council Members from Graduate and Teachers constituencies on June 2 to discuss introduction of Common Entrance Test for Post Graduate courses.

He told newsmen here today that the matter would be referred to the Inter University Board for its final decision on introducing a single CET across the state.

He said that the government would sanction fee subsidy of Rs 24 crore to the students of professional courses hailing from backward classess in the next few days.
