Ullal, Karnataka, May 29 (UNI) Former Karnataka Chief Minister N Dharam Singh alleged that the JD(S) had started horse trading to remain in power, even after the completion of their 20-month-term of office of the Chief Minister H D Kumaraswamy.

Addressing newspersons here he predicted that an early election was possible during the month of October when the term of the Chief Minister would be completed. The statement of Labour Minister Iqbal Ansari that 30 BJP MLAs were in favour of Mr Kumaraswamy's continuance was an indication of horse trading of MLAs in the state, he added.

He expressed that the Congress would get absolute majority in the next Assembly election. The party would also win Ullal seat, he added.

Addressing a press conference here he said as against the earlier approved length of 12,019 kms of national highways for upgradation, the government had now approved for 12,230 kms under NHDP Phase III on BOT concept.

The Minister said about three estimates amounting to Rs 30 crore had been sanctioned by the ministry for the improvement of NH 48 in Shiradi Ghat.
