Homage paid to Charan Singh on 20th death anniversary

New Delhi, May 29 (UNI) The nation today paid homage to former prime minister Choudhary Charan Singh on his 20th death anniversary.

Prime Minister Manmohan Singh, Rashtriya Lok Dal chief and son Ajit Singh and others paid floral tributes to the seventh Prime Minister at his memorial at Kissan Ghat.

A wreath was laid at the memorial on behalf of President A P J Abdul Kalam.

Choudhary Charan Singh was in office from July 28 1979 till January 14 1980.
