Four injured as strong winds lash parts of Ahmedabad

Ahmedabad, May 29 (UNI) Four people were injured when the tree they were standing under fell on them in Chandkheda area due to the strong winds swept the city today before the pre-monsoon showers.

Manjulaben Gadhvi (30) was hospitalised in Samuhik Arogya Kendra at Chandkheda as she sustained severe injuries. Three others -- Vimalben Shah (60), Kamlaben Parmar (60) and Ashok G Parmar (35) -- sustained minor injuries.

Meanwhile, strong winds uprooted power cables resulting in power breakdown. According to Deputy Engineer Uttar Gujarat Vij Company Ltd Raj Sharma, UGCVL is trying to restore the power supply.
