DHBVN to segregate domestic and agriculture feeders

Hisar, May 29 (UNI) The Dakshin Haryana Bijli Vitran Nigam (DHBVN) plans to segregate 490 existing feeders of 11 KV level and erect 358 new feeders by the end of December this year at a cost of Rs 268 crore.

A DHBVN spokesman today said that the Nigam had launched the scheme of segregating domestic and agriculture load in villages.

''Implementation of the scheme will improve voltage level and quality of power supply to tubewells during pre-determined period and it will ensure uninterrupted power supply in domestic sector of villages,'' he said.

Besides, he said the DHBVN plans to rehabilitate all the feeders of 11 kv level having load more than 150 Ampere by dividing each feeder into 2 or 3 feeders.

The lengthier feeders would also be divided into feeders of shorter length. Under the scheme, DHBVN plans to rehabilitate 100 such feeders at a cost of Rs 139 Crores.

During the process of rehabilitation of the feeders, the complete system would be renovated and demand of additional distribution transformers would be met with.

To improve power distribution system in villages, DHBVN is creating High Voltage Distribution System (HVDS) and Low Voltage Distribution System (LVDS) of power supply. Besides improving quality of power supply, the new system will restrain unscrupulous users of electricity.
