DHBVN to give one time chance to power poachers

Hisar, May 29 (UNI) The Dakshin Haryana Bijli Vitran Nigam (DHBVN) has decided to give one time chance to those consumers who are indulging in theft of electricity to get the ''irregularities regularised'' by June 14.

A Nigam spokesman today said that DHBVN had offered the voluntary disclosure scheme (VDS) for theft or unauthorized use of electricity for declaring irregularities, including tampering of meters, committed by the domestic and non-domestic consumers in its area comprising Sirsa, Fatehabad, Hisar, Bhiwani, Mahendragarh, Rewari, Gurgaon, Mewat and Faridabad districts .

They would have to deposit a token money as regularisation charges. For declaring theft voluntarily, a consumer of single phase meter would have to deposit Rs 200 per kilowatt load as regularisation charge.

The consumer having three phase meter would have to deposit Rs 300 per kilowatt load as regulariation charge.

The Nigam would regularise the irregularities with out making any theft case, the spokesman said.
