Panaji, May 29 (UNI) Lashing at Congress' incompetence in providing people with stable and progressive governments at the Centre and the States, BJP national president Rajnath Singh said BJP alone could deliver goods through its ''politics of humanity and justice''.

''The BJP alone can give a stable and secure government that can hold its head high in the comity of nations with pride and self-respect by virtue of its politics of humanity and justice (insaf and insaniat),'' Mr Singh said while addressing a rally at Mapusa in the wake of June 2 elections for Goa Legislative Assembly this evening.

Mr Singh ridiculed how the Congress in Goa had ten Chief Ministers during its ten year rule since it attained statehood in 1987.

He debunked Congress for its lack of policies and committment to develop tourism in a big way so that the number of tourists doubled from the present 26 lakh by boosting infrastrucure facilities.

A small country like Japan with a population of five crore, ravaged by atomic bombs, became a developed country within 20 years whereas the 50-year rule of the Congress had failed to do so in India. The state of affairs in a small state like Goa where the Congress has ruled for more than 15 years since its formation is the same, he said.

The six-year rule of NDA government by A B Vajpayee on the other hand had catapulted India to become a powerful nation with nuclear capabilities without hypothicating its ''self-respect'' despite threats of US sanctions, he said.

Vajpayee shocked the then US President Bill Clinton by warning that India as a resurget nation with the policy of self-reliance, would stop buying its goods, if the US tried to announce sanctions against India in the backdrop of Pokhran-II atomic tests, Rajnath added.
