Aurobindo gets USFDA nod for Cefprozil tablets
New Delhi, May 29 (UNI) Drug major Aurobindo Pharma today said it has got the approval from the US FDA for its antibiotic Cefprozil used in the treatment of upper, lower respiratory tract and skin infections.
The company will sell Cefprozil, which enjoys a market of around 80 million dollars in the US, in dosages of 250 mg and 500 mg, a statement said.
Cefprozil is the generic version of the brand Cefzil, manufactured and sold by Bristol-Myers Squibb Company Pharmaceutical Research Institute.
