Three policemen dismissed for tampering proof and saving accused

Bokaro, May 28 (UNI) A local court today ordered the dismissal of three police officers for tampering with evidence and trying to shield a person accused in a murder case.

On October 8, 2002 five persons, including a child, were brutally killed at their home in sector three of the steel city. Three persons were made accused in the case. One among them was still absconding and two were lodged in the Chas jail.

The verdict would be announced tommorrow.

The court of District and Sessions Judge Prakash Rai orderd dismissal of Javed Mahmood, Madhav Rao Bhargav(both inspectors) and sub-inspector Neeraj Pathak, then posted at Bokaro Steel City police station.
