New Delhi, May 28 (UNI) Accusing the UPA of "faltering" in the fight against terror, the BJP today said the various incidents in the country pointed towards the existence of a "transnational network", facilitated by Pakistan's Inter-Services Intelligence (ISI).

BJP Spokesman Prakash Javadekar said the military intelligence cited a rise in ULFA activities during May, in which the proscribed outfir killed nine and injured 100 people, including attacking on migrant labour, because of the push the infiltration had received in Pakistan, Bangladesh and Nepal. The explosion in a mosque in Hyderabad had links with an Imam in Ahmedabad, who was arrested with arms and explosives, he claimed and also noted the seizure of fake currency notes in the national capital.

ULFA blasts in Asom near a Marwari Maternity Hospital, a FCI godown in Sibsagar and explosions in Bongaigoan were all well thought out plans to drive out Hindi speaking people, Mr Javadekar added.

Pakistan backed terrorists were trying to infiltrate to India not just from Jammu and Kashmir but also from Bangladesh and Nepal borders, he alleged, adding the demand of the ruling PDP to pull out troops from J&K should be viewed in light of all these developments.

"However, the UPA government had failed to take a stand on terror because of the political expediency and vote bank politics.", he alleged.
