Shekhawat to felicitate three living PVC awardees

Kolkata, May 28 (UNI) Merchant Chamber of Commerce&Industry will felicitate three living Param Vir Chakra awardees in order to commemorate 150th anniversary of India's First War of Indepedence.

Vice-President Bhairon Singh Sekhwat would preside over the celebration on May 31 and present the citations and awards.

Speaking to mediapersons here today, Merchant Chamber President Santosh Saraf said that the chamber would felicitate Captain Bana Singh, Havildar Yogender Singh Yadav and Sanjay Kumar.

Captain Bana Singh had foiled Pakistani plans and captured the World's highest ''Quaid Post'' on Siachen Glacier in 1987.

Havildar Yogender Singh Yadav had destroyed three enemy bunkers and was in the epic attack on Tiger Hill in the Kargil conflict.

Havildar Sanjay Kumar had destroyed enemy bunkers and captured Flat Top extension of Pint 4875 in the Mushkoh Valley, in the same campaign.
