Municipality employees take mass casual leave to press demands

Puducherry, May 28 (UNI) Federation of Puducherry Municipality and Commune Panchayat Employees Associations members went on a mass casual leave to press their seven-point charter of demands.

The members, who observed a token sit-in-strike on May 24, demanded that they be converted into government employees, removal of pay anomalies and provision of free house site pattas to employees engaged in garbage cleaning, among other things.
