HC issues notices to Guj Govt on medical entrance test exams

Ahmedabad, May 28 (UNI) The High Court today issued notices to the state Government and Gujarat Higher Secondary Education Board (GHSEB) for alleged discrepancies in the Gujarat Common Entrance Test (GujCET) entrance test conducted this year for engineering, medical and para-medical courses.

High Court Justice Ravi R Tripathi admitted the petition filed by Devdeep Patel, a student of 12th standard, seeking the court's intervention in admission procedures of these courses.

In his petition filed on May 3, Devdeep has alleged that the GujCET test had discrepancies with some objective questions having wrong answers while few questions were out of the syllabus. Thus if the results of this test was considered for the entrance into these courses than it could harm his educational career.

The notices are answerable by May 31.
