New Delhi, May 28 (UNI) Andhra Pradesh Chief Minister Y S Rajasekhara Reddy today impressed the Centre to appoint a regulator for fixing the gas price for domestic use.

In his address at the Chief Ministers and Power Ministers' Confernce here, the Dr Reddy reminded the government that the formula for fixing of gas prices for domestic use the world over was to work out the 'reasonable profits' for the exploration and supply firms after calculating the costs.

Local users cannot be charged on the basis of international prices and allow a few private or public sector companies to amass profits, Dr Reddy told reporters after the meeting. He also said that his state was assured of gas supply in June 2008.
