3 of a family hacked to death

Allahabad, May 28 (UNI) Unidentified criminals hacked to death three people of a family after raping a woman of the house in Nawabganj area here today.

According to police, four armed miscreants entered the house of Vinod in Tikri village in the early hours.

Hearing them the family members woke up and raised an alarm following which the miscreants first slit the throat of Vinod (26) and his daughter Rajni (4) and later allegedly raped and killed Vidyawati(25), wife of Vinod.

Incensed over the incident, the villagers blocked the Allahabad- Lucknow road for couple of hours. Later the blockade was lifted following the intervention of the administration.

A case had been registered and a search is on to nab the assailants.
