Karnataka government to establish Nano Farm in UAS, Bangalore
Mangalore, May 27 (UNI) The Karnataka Government proposes to establish a Nano Farm in the University of Agricultural University, Bangalore, Minister for Science and Technology Ramachandragowda said today.
Talking to newsmen here, he said that 10 acres of land has been earmarked for the new project and Union Minister for Science and Technology Kapil Sibal has agreed to provide Rs 250 Crore for establishment of the Farm.
He said that a project report in consultation with renowned scientist C N R Rao would be prepared and submitted to the Centre for approval.
Mr Ramachandragowda said that it was proposed to set up sub-Regional Science Center in every district. At present two Science centres are functioning in Pilisula, on the outskirts of the City, and at Dharwad.
