Govt to complete Telugu Ganga lining works in 3 years: CM

Kurnool, Andhra Pradesh, May 27 (UNI) Andhra Pradesh Chief Minister Y S Rajasekhara Reddy today said the Telugu Ganga lining works would be taken up in a phased manner and it would be completed in three years.

Participating in a district development review meeting here, Dr Reddy said the government had decided to allocate Rs 100 crore to take up the modernisation of low-level canals.

He said the capacity of Abdulpur reservoir would be increased to three tmcft.

Stating that capacity of Sunkeshula reservior would also be increased to eight tmcft from 1.2 tmcft, Dr Reddy said the government would take all possible steps to ensure the supply of seeds to all farmers during the Khariff season.
