SP ex-MLA booked for eloping with teenager

Etawah, May 26 (UNI) A Samajwadi Party (SP) former MLA along with his eight supporters has been charged with eloping with a nine-year-old girl here.

In his complaint late yesterday, the girl's father alleged SP ex-MLA from Auraiya seat Madan Singh Gautam, with the help of his eight aides, had eloped with his daughter in Ratnipur village of Kotwali Ajitmal area.

According to sources, Mr Gautam was recently booked for ''manhanding and issuing life threats'' to his neighbour. Later, he surrendered in a court and is presently on a bail.
